CYBERBOARD Terminal

Terminal is one of the most classic entry points into the virtual world. Its black background with green characters has well-established itself as the go-to color scheme for coding prodigies.

Highly recognizable elements as seen in numerous sci-fi movies, such as the blinking under- score in command-line interfaces, the digital rain and the black and green dynamic lighting effects, have been taken to the next level by people who love Terminal.

By combining its LED panel and in-switch LED lighting, CYBERBOARD Terminal beautifully reproduces this retro-futuristic feel.

Exclusively for CYBERBOARD Terminal, we custom-made a semi-transparent black PC material that doesn't require a coating of paint. After mixing the colors, the base material is directly sandblasted to achieve a delicate semi-transparent effect. This improved production process is not only more eco-friendly, but is also extremely durable and incredibly beautiful.

Digital Rain, which symbolizes Terminal’s command-line, flies across the LED panel like it's on an endless search for information. With a special after-effect from each keystroke, it’s as geeky as it gets.

As our team is continuously experimenting to further improve the touch and feel of CYBERBOARD, we came up with a redesigned gasket structure. Implementing the Gasket Mount into a PC keyboard goes further than just ensuring a good typing experience. The materials and appearance on the inside should also be up to par.

Differing from the previous iteration of Gasket Mount, we used silicone with a hardness level of 10. The silicone is integrated with the plate through injection molding, which not only looks more transparent by blending in with the keyboard's overall design, but also sounds less hollow and gives it a more solid feel.

The integrated plate and silicone pads provide a more consistent internal structure. Gaps are less pronounced than in conventional structures.

Unlike metal, our semi-transparent PC material provides a unique lighting experience. However, to achieve the same substantial feel as when using metal, a counterweight is required.

We created a new radical design for the counterweight of CYBERBOARD Terminal, with the weight plate being visible from the exterior. Its mirror PVD stainless steel surface occupies most of the bottom area. Exposed reflective stainless steel forms a stark, yet dazzling contrast with the matte PC material.

The switches are another fundamental aspect of CYBERBOARD Terminal's unique retro look. We chose Glacier Black keycaps and Icy Silver switches. These transparent switches add a touch of mystery to the Glacier Black keycaps - perfectly complimenting Terminal's classic black and green color scheme.

Our keyboard case is pretty hardcore, but the black and white color scheme is not really consistent with the retro black and green colors of CYBERBOARD Terminal. That’s why we designed the case with a black and green color scheme, achieving that full hacker look.

CYBERBOARD Terminal's product images were created by users from our community. It absolutely amazes us that each community-created image is extremely detailed and full of creativity, and goes above and beyond the quality of our official product images. This shows that they really understand the product and love the Angry Miao brand.
