A Hall Effect keyboard uses a magnet in each switch and a sensor on the PCB to measure key travel without relying on a physical electrical contact. Continuous position sensing enables adjustable actuation points, Rapid Trigger, and precise per-key input tuning.

Rapid Trigger resets a key as soon as it begins moving upward instead of waiting for it to return past a fixed reset point. This allows faster repeated inputs and more responsive counter-strafing, which is especially useful in competitive FPS games.

Polling rate is how often the keyboard reports inputs to the computer, while scan rate is how often the keyboard checks its switches. Higher rates can reduce input delay, but actual performance also depends on the controller, firmware, connection mode, and game setup.

It depends on the keyboard. Magnetic switches are not universally interchangeable like many MX mechanical switches because sensor calibration and magnet position can differ. Use only the switch types listed as compatible with your specific Angry Miao or Dry Studio model.
